Summary of Services Offered by the Builders Exchange of Rochester

Our Weekly Bulletin is a "snapshot" publication of current building information which is sent to all our members. It includes detailed information of the active plans in the office with planholders’ lists. It may also include: association news, future scheduled plans, and bid tabulations of post-bid projects.

This website offers an interactive Bulletin - list of plans, links to the details with bidders, downloadable addenda, and viewable blueprints and specs - all updated continuously. (please be aware that the projects on each page above are from 2006 and so the links will not work). Drawings are available to view using OnCenter, Adobe Reader, IVS Lite, or any other TIF Viewer on your computer if you subscribe to Plans Online. File types are PDF & TIF.

An annual membership directory is published with the list of members with contact/address/phone/fax, a classified listing by alphabetical description or CSI division for members only, other area exchanges, and architects/engineers who have sent us plans.

Our annual golf outing is held each year at Somerby Golf Club for members and their guests.

We hold an annual membership meeting in the Spring. We have a lunch, association announcements, and a speaker. In 2011 we opened this meeting up to non-members because the program was for GBCI CE credit.

For a nominal charge we offer:

• Plan copies from our wide-format KIP 3100 digital printer/copier
• Use of the large HP or Ricoh copier
• ExNet (goes out by fax or email Monday & Friday to supplement Weekly Bulletin)
• Use of our Canon fax machine
• Advertising in publications (Bulletin & Directory)
• Mailing labels of members addresses

Plan room facilities are available to Associate members for a $15.00/visit fee.

Additional Services For Full Members of the Exchange:

• Use of the Plan Room
• Use of the computer in the Plan Room to view plans, specs, and addenda - utilizing our Plans Online Service
• May subscribe to Plans Online Service - plans are in TIF & PDF, specs in PDF
• Copies of plans can be made and invoiced
• Projects at least a week out can be ordered by our members to use in the Plan Room.
• Members who track their projects (with email) through our websites will get instant notification of addenda
• Plans can be reserved for overnight and weekend use. Day reservations may be made if the office is able to obtain multiple sets of plans.
• The following aids are available in the Plan Room: Sweets Catalogues, issues of area Exchange’s weekly publications, and their annual directories.
• City and County building permits are available.
